Personal Data Protection

Information on the personal data protection principles at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum in Warsaw in consideration of the GDPR being entered into force as of 25 May 2018.

The scope of application of the Regulation
The processing of personal data at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum in Warsaw is governed by the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation); hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”.

Data Controller

The Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum in Warsaw is the controller of your personal data. Pursuant to the GDPR, the Museum is held responsible for compliance with the personal data protection principles.

Data Protection Officer

Based on Article 37 (1) of the GDPR, the Director of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum in Warsaw appointed Michał Stachowski as the data protection officer. Data subjects may contact the data protection officer in all matters related to the processing of their personal data, as well as to the exercise of their rights under the GDPR.

The data protection officer ensures full confidentiality of communication with data subjects. Pursuant to Article 38 (5) of the Regulation, the data protection officer is obliged to maintain secrecy or confidentiality with regard to the performance of its tasks – in accordance with EU law or the law of a Member State.
